Meet Michael, my very first 2012 senior. She and I had a blast this morning, and though we did not capture the sunshine we had hoped for, overcast skies and cooler temperatures were very welcome. The brilliant colors all around us were such a joy to photograph!

(Hurray for my first post!)

This coming Friday morning, I'm anticipating an exciting photo shoot with a senior. We're scheduled to be at the city park near seven in the morning (hoping to beat the heat and catch some pretty rays as the sun rises). This morning, however, I packed my gear and headed out at 6:00 to study the light patterns and scout out the best places for photos at this time of day. It was such fun being out before the park became too busy, and I'm so thrilled about the places I found that are going to make such exquisite photo-ops!

I came away this morning with two photos I decided to keep:

This lovely couple was parading about on the grass getting their morning breakfast in.

Something about this view grabbed me. I love the trees, the sunshine, and of course, the vacant mary-go-round!
